Why Isn't My Device/App Supported By Walker Tracker?

There are a plethora of devices and apps that measure steps and other fitness metrics on the market and we aim to support the most popular and in-demand devices/apps as much as possible. Walker Tracker is able to provide a wide variety of connections to devices by using an API provider. They seek out and make connections to many different devices on the market and then provide us with that data. Unfortunately, some devices choose to not share their data out with API providers or can take an extended period of time to develop a connection to our API provider and therefore we cannot connect to every device on the market. 

 

We do take note when you write in to us with suggestions for future devices/app support. If we see a demand and our API provider also supports the app/device, we will do our best to get it supported at Walker Tracker as soon as possible. 

 

Suggestion: check to see if your device's app can be linked to an app we already support. Such as Polar Flow to MyFitnessPal. Sometimes all it takes is linking through one of our supported apps to get your 'unsupported' device's steps counted in Walker Tracker. To view our up to date list of supported applications, click here.  

 

As a note: S Health is a popular Samsung app for tracking steps.  Unfortunately S Health's API is kept private and not shared with any 3rd parties.  Until this changes, we cannot support S Health.
